Drinking a cup of black tea can be such a delight! Typically brewed hot, some sweetner can be added, and a dash of milk, or a lot of milk. Some prefer it without either sweetner or milk!
A teapot with a lid is definitely needed for brewing black tea (loose leaves).
Plan for one level teaspoon per cup of tea, and boiling water poured onto the leaves in the teapot.
Keep the teapot warm by slipping on a teacosy.
Brewing time varies per one’s taste and also differs per varietys of black tea. First flush tea requires less than 4 minutes of brewing, while second flush needs more time (4-6 minutes) to bring forth its delicious muscatel flavor.
Make sure the water used is clear of iron, chlorine and other impurities. Perhaps purified or spring water would be better.
